Gérald St-Laurent

A Classic country singer and old time Fiddler at its best! At the young age of 6 years old Gérald took a liking to the guitar and was singing your classic country favorites such as “Please Release Me, Storms Never Last, Your Cheating Heart and Country Roads.”  At ten years old,  piano became an instrument that Gérald loved to play and later in life often finding himself playing rhythm for some of the best fiddlers in Manitoba such as Alex Carriere and Michael Audette. At the age of 17, Gérald bought himself a Fiddle and begun lessons with Canadian Grand Masters Champion Patti Kusturok! This new journey placed Gerald as a recognized fiddle player by the age of 22 years old, playing with local bands  touring southern Manitoba entertaining crowds almost every weekend for over 16 years. Today you will find Gérald right up front as lead singer, fiddler of his own band performing at various house concerts, events and Old Time Dances all over Manitoba!
